Be aware of the fact that it can take some work to get there so wear some good walking shoes. Although it does take some effort, the views of the city are going to be well worth the effort.
Galleria dell’Accademia – one of the things that many people want to do is see some art when they are in Florence. There are so many different artistic sculptures and other items to see from ancient history that it can be overwhelming.
If you are limited in time and are only going to visit one art museum, this is the one that you should choose. It is your opportunity to see the David, and it is something that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Baptistery – If you are interested in history, this is an option that you would not want to miss. Some historians have dated the building back to the fifth century and once you step on the inside, you’re not going to believe the beauty that you see.
Not only is it a historical landmark, it is perfect for those who love art as well. Be sure to get there early because if you are a little later in the day, you have to work along with the crowns to see it all.
