• 2 tatting shuttles wound CTM for main section, shuttle and ball thread for C round bottom section
• Hook for joining

• 4 cm wide, 5 cm high

The letter Y is worked with the main top section first, then a final chain is worked round the bottom arm of the initial.

BOTTOM CHAIN

1. Rejoin into the P where the two lock J Cs were joined at their picots, facing down towards the bottom of the initial.
2. C 4 DS, P, 4 DS, lock J into free P of the SCMR, do not RW. Repeat this C once more joining into the R made with second SH. Do not RW.
3. C 6 DS, lock J into the bottom P, do not RW.
4. C 6 DS, lock J into next free P of the R made with second SH.
5. C 4 DS, P, 4 DS, lock J into next free P, do not RW.
6. C 4 DS, P, 4 DS, lock J into the same point on the opposite side as that at which you started this C section, finish ends.
