 
You will need Paint Shop Pro 8, available from www.jasc.com to do this tutorial. New Image 200 x 200, transparent, 16 million colours. Gradient of your choice, I used Electric Blues, set as screenshot. 
FLOOD FILL. 
Effects-Image Effects-Seamless Tiling. Settings as shown. PLEASE NOTE that the settings I used in this tutorial seem only to work for this particular gradient. If you play with others, try ticking the Bidirection option. If you find others which work with the settings I used, please let me know!  To test your seamless tile there are two ways. First of all try creating a New Image 600 x 600. Leave your new tile open and set your foreground pattern to the open image. Flood fill the large image with the tile, it should be seamless! Another way to test your seamless tile is to click on the "Show Tiling Preview" checkbox in the Seamless Tile Dialogue Box. Thank you for taking the time to do my tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it.
