This week we were asked to make a flag with a wave in it complete with flagpole, and then to design two flags, one for the SLP and one for the Paint Shop Pro Users Group 5th Birthday. I had fun with that!
I had some trouble with the lesson for the US flag but by the time I did the others I had mastered the flagpole.
For the SLP flag I followed the tutorial and the image was created by first drawing a star with the brush tool, filling the outline with a gradient. I then added text in the same way.
In the 5th Birthday flag, I first of all used the Picture Tube bell, selecting and flipping it until it looked right and adding a bubble to cover up the joint. I then added more gradient filled text and again followed the tutorial through.
Note that in the SLP flag I lowered the multiply factor because I felt it was too harsh.
