Week 2 credit star

This week we studied up on how to make tubes using photographs and other images and removing the background. That was very involved and took a great deal of time but such fun!

First of all we made a tube of some cows and then made a picture from the Tube.

Next we went on to make a tube out of some flowers, the photos of which were provided by our instructor who gave us permission to use them. Thank you, Rollie!

I decided to make the very pretty button given in the lesson and save it both as a GIF and as a JPG using the Unsharp effect. The JPG is much clearer and sharper.

For practice I went on to make a flower tube from some photos I took of flowers in my garden last summer with my new digital camera (Fuji Finepix 2600 if anyone wants to know!). If you would like the tube just click on the image to download it. The download is 160 KB in size.

Finally, I used my new tube to make a signature tag.
