This week we played with all kinds of filters and effects.

Original star

The original star I started out with is a dark purple brush.

This used the Aged Newspaper effect at a strength of 78.

Here I used the Charcoal effect with Detail set to 25 and Opacity set to 32.

Picture of Star with Coloured Edges effectThis shows the Coloured Edges effect with Luminance set to 3, Blur 21, Colour White, Intensity 13.
Picture of Star with the Neon Glow effect Here is the Neon Glow effect with detail set to 77 and opacity set to 53.

This one shows the Pencil effect, with the same settings as in class but with a lighter yellow than the one our instructor chose.

This one illustrates the Topography Effect with Width 20, Density 8, Angle 45, Color White

This one shows the Topography effect with width 64, density 29, angle 158, colour red. I then selected part of the changed star with the Circle selection, cut and pasted as a new image and saved as a transparent button!

Here is a star displaying the Brush Strokes effect. Length 15, Density 49, Brush bristles 109, width 2, opacity 0, softness 23, lighting angle 39, colour Navy Blue 0, 0, 128.

Here is a star displaying the Coloured Foil effect using Preset custom2.

This one displays the Contours effect with luminance 104, blur 22, detail 19, intensity 50, colour 192, 192, 255.

For this one I used the Enamel effect with the Custom6 Preset.

For this one I used the Hot Wax effect with foreground set to 255 192 192 and background set to 0 0 0. That was fun!
