This week we concentrated on fonts, gradients, buttons and signature tags. Our instructor gave us a star for work well done!
First we learned to insert text and colour it. The text at the top is the one I did for the lesson, the text below in the image is the one I did for homework. I used the Matisse ITC font which comes with Windows ME, with a dark blue 0 0 128 outline and pale blue 192 192 255 fill.
Then we went on to make some signature tags. Our tutor, Rollie, showed us a wonderful idea of using the Buttonize feature several times to make a button with multiple edges. But first, here's the ones we did in class.
Homework was to make two signatures of our own. I had a lace tube I had made of some of my tatting so as that particular pattern has almost become my signature I decided to use it. I have also incidentally used the Bluebird of Tatting as the background to this page!
