In this next example I experimented with Opacity. I would have loved to play with the retouch tool and Smudge here but thought I'd better stick to the lesson! I kept the pspimage so can do so later if I want.

Here I played with Thickness to create a signature.

Although it is not very clear due to the optimisation, this next one was an experiment with rotation and step.

Our instructor gave us a wonderful tutorial on creating patterns using the Brush tool

A variety of doodles using the Variance tool.

Next we went on to practise some text effects and I made some sigs, both in and out of class! First of all the ones done in class.
I went on to play with some of the Brush presets and applied a variety of fonts and line effects. Sorry Rollie I was having too much fun playing by this time and didn't record exactly what I did! However I did go on with the last one to create my own pattern using the brushes before applying the black lettering.
Finally we did a drawing of a cat. We were then asked to draw a picture on our own and I did a teddy bear.
We were also asked to practise optimising, resizing and saving in different ways. I normally use JPG format but some of these would have been better saved using GIF format because of the large areas of plain colour. I also resized the images at the top of the page and again some have lost detail because of this. The three large images in the middle are better.
