Here is the page for Week 2 of the VU Course.

I created the background image with Paint Shop Pro 7.04 AE. If you like it you may use it - just right click anywhere on the browser window and left click on Save Background As.

Since we learned to do tables in the fifth week I decided to layer a table on top of the background image in order to make it easier to read, rather than embolding the text as I did at first.

  5. KNITTED LACE

    • Knitted lace was very popular during the Nineteenth century.
    • It was made with very fine steel needles, called Wires.
    • My mother knits Shetland lace and makes Ring Shawls. They really are so fine that you can pull the whole shawl through a wedding ring!
