ORIGAMI

  • I am a former member of the British Origami Society.
  • I have taught in the past at national and international meetings, including:-
    • COET 1991
    • British Origami Society Conventions
    • participation in Japanese festivals such as the Hyde Park Matsuris 1992 and 2001.
  • Creator of a number of original models including:-
    • Basket with Patterned Handle published in BOS Convention Pack Autumn 1998, OUSA Annual Collection 1999 the Hungarian Origami Society's Newsletter 1999 and Orisons Spring 2003.
    • Star Basket published in OUSA Annual Collection 2001
    • New Year Star published in BOS Convention Pack Spring 1997
    • Basket with Patterned Handle published in BOS Convention Pack Autumn 1998, Origami USA Annual Collection 1999 and the Hungarian Origami Society's Newsletter 1999.
    • Octagonal Box published in BOS Convention Pack Spring 2000.
  • Appointed Paper Crafts Host at Bella Online in the autumn of 2002.

NEEDLECRAFT

This includes embroidery, and patchwork and quilting by hand and by machine.

  • Won 1st prize for an original design for a Tatting Bag at the 5th Surrey Tatters Garden Party in July 1999
  • Tatting Host at Bella Online appointed in February 2002.
  • Won 1st prize for an original design for a Tatted Necklace at the 7th Surrey Tatters Garden Party in July 2001.

MUSIC

  • Regular attendance at the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts; attendance at concerts and exhibitions in London.
  • Member of the NorthKen Chorale, participated as part of the choir in Songs of Praise shown on 5th April 1998.

READING

I love to read a wide range of science fiction including books by Anne McCaffrey, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov; also detective fiction such as novels by Ellis Peters/ Edith Pargeter and Dorothy Sayers.

COMPUTING

I love computer games and am learning to do web design. I am a member of a number of tatting, beadwork and graphics newsgroups - I adore Paint Shop Pro and am quite capable of spending all night doing computer graphics!

  • This was my very first web site showing patterns I have designed in tatting. It is currently undergoing a major redesign and redevelopment.

  • This website is being designed to link in with all the different interests I have and to act as a showcase for my patterns, designs and craftwork. It is the main site for the domain ofwww.craftsnlace.net. My online diary and tatting site have been included as part of this domain and website.

  • Remembrance Hearts

  • This site was designed for a project that the Online Tatting Community undertook following the American attacks on 11th September 2001.
