Mary Konior's Traycloth

I'm making progress with the traycloth I am making for my mother which is a pattern from Mary Konior's bookTatting with Visual Patterns.It's beautiful but not easy to make.

I have finished the beaded bag! It was such fun to make!

You can find the pattern in the bookTime for Beadsby Julie Jackson. I bought my copy from the magazineMary Hickmott's New Stitcheswhich is a wonderful British embroidery magazine that has been around for some years.

They have a web site, the address is www.newstitches.com although when I checked to see that it is working the latest magazine information was rather out of date. You could write or e-mail them though if you want more information.

I used Delica beads, which are very tiny cylindrical beads, and a Size 10 needle. The bag was quite difficult to make, especially the strap - if anyone can figure out why it's twisting round please let me know because it shouldn't do that!
