Welcome to The Craft Diary!

I live in London, England but was brought up in Scotland, going to school in the centre of Glasgow. I have one brother and my parents are still living, we are a close and loving family. I'm not married and have no partner or children.

I have an honours degree in music, play the piano rather well and go to the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts in Suffolk, England every year. I sing in the NorthKen Chorale which is the North Kensington choir run by the composer Betty Roe. We have concerts two or three times a year and it's always great fun.

I love all sorts of needlework, including patchwork, cross stitch embroidery, beadwork, bobbin lacemaking, tatting, crochet, machine and hand knitting. I also collect teddy bears and have a "hug" of nearly 90 bears to prove it; I collect playing cards too but you won't see pictures of these on the Internet because of copyright.

I love doing origami and paperfolding, and I'm a master of the art of folding connected cranes. I've created quite a number of original models, some of which have been published.

Last but not least I adore my computer - couldn't live without it - and so enjoy my web designing!

I'm now a member of the HTML instructor team at www.vu.org, the oldest online school on the web and one of the friendliest and kindest groups I have found. I love doing computer graphics with Paint Shop Pro and am a member of the graphics groups at The Place, which was formed by the VU Paint Shop Pro instructors, PSP Dynasty and PSP Magic.

I'm also the Bella Online Tatting and Papercrafts host, producing regular articles and maintaining a large collection of links amongst other things.
